Let's start a learning revolution.

what we do

Aprender is a different kind of charity. We don't sponsor children, dig wells, send chickens or build rescue centres - all of which are important. Our aim is to impact a nation, school by school, so that young people have the chance to move out of poverty for themselves, who are empowered to transform their own lives, their communities and their country. It's a bold aim, but we believe we can be a catalyst here with your support and investment. Our method of intervention is about equipping people on the ground, quickly developing them so that they can, in turn, train others - a truly sustainable model.

Why not become an 'Aprender Amigo' and join us on the journey?

Make a difference today for the sake of their tomorrow.

Here's what we do and why.

This video gives some background as to the problems in Brazilian education and some of what Aprender is doing.

On a wing and a prayer

Just heading to Brasilia airport with the Total boys en route to São Paulo for a key meeting. We've redrawn the proposal and are excited about what this could mean for the region and beyond. We will be talking to a large company who want to invest in education, particularly vocational education in rural communities. We sense that this could be huge so think for us, pray for us and we'll keep you posted.

Brazil update

What an adventure!? Education conferences, lots of meetings, open doors, new food experiences, new people, old friends and making a difference. We've made some major strategic decisions and need to work these through. We have an important meeting with the goverment in Brasilia next week which is key. The adventure continues!
